Russian Cookies Pryaniki
Ingredients
50g + 150g flour 00
100g milk
100g sugar
1 tsp all spices
20g corn oil
1 small yolk
25g dark cocoa powder
8g backing powder
1/4tsp backing soda
1/4 tsp salt
For ice cooking
1 egg white
100gr powdered sugar
1tsp lemon juice
Procedure
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius
First heat the milk
In a deep bowl mix the sugar with flour
Pour the milk into the mixture and whisk it
Leave it cool at room temperature
Once the mixture is cold pour the oil and salt into the mixture and stir it well.
Add the yolk to the cream
Mix it
Add cocoa & backing soda & backing soda
Keep mixing until well blended
Add flour gradually
Mix it with the wooden spoon
Flour the surface and place the dough
Flour the dough to avoid it sticking
Roll it to thickness of approximately 8mm
Cut the dough with a cutter (according to your preference)
Place the biscuits onto a tray slightly apart
Bake them in the preheated oven for 10’
Leave them to cool completely
Preparation of glaze icing
Whisk together:
white egg
Ice sugar
lemon juice
Dip pryanik cookies into the glaze and spread it with a brush
Let them rest overnight
